There are mainly 5 diving locations to be explored by tourists in Andaman and Nicobar Island –

1. Light House

With a depth of around 6-20 metres, Lighthouse has its arms extended for every kind of diver there is. This is a large diving site famed for night diving for PADI/SSI certified divers. This astonishing experience can lead you to witness a wide variety of hard and soft corals along with lots of macro life and other interesting water beings such as Lionfish, Humpback parrotfish, Fusiliers, Octopus and Lobsters.

2. Barracuda city

Barracuda city is the untarnished location for scuba diving in Andamans. With the given depth of 25-30 metres, only intermediate and expert divers are recommended to explore the location. This site is famous for the turtles and blue spotted sting rays along with a wide variety of colourful coral and exotic fishes such as Surgeonfish.

3. Cinque Island

This is undoubtedly the best destination for scuba diving in Andaman and Nicobar island. With clarity up to 80 feet down below, the spot is famous for spotting a wide range of colourful fishes, sponges and small corals which are present here in abundance. Also, this place is abode to black corals as well and sometimes the diver can spot sharks in the vicinity.

4. The Wall

The wall is a huge submerged rock. A small wall that drops down to a maximum of 55 metres in to the shipping channel near the jetty shore on Havelock, is full of life and one can have memorable experience of witnessing the groups of fishes circling around the face.

5. Passage island

Passage island consists of an offshore top summit commonly known as Fish Rock, where you can spot every kind of pelagic fish in great numbers. The currents here can be furious, but the reward is enormous and worthy. This is not a huge site, but there is certainly a lot to explore here with a lot of action.

  • Get knowledge about the diving equipment before you dive.
